CLEAN mode in MasterTIG, StandardTIG and MultiPRO inverters — welding and cleaning in one machine

Modern welding equipment is not only about joining metal, but also about the quality of post-weld processing. That is why PATON TIG inverters of the MasterTIG and StandardTIG series, as well as multifunctional MultiPRO inverters, feature the CLEAN mode, which allows efficient cleaning of stainless steel immediately after welding. Additionally, the MasterTIG unit is equipped with a POLISHING mode, which allows for additional surface treatment after cleaning.

What is CLEAN mode?

CLEAN mode is designed for:
• removal of oxides and heat tint from the weld seam and adjacent areas
• restoration of corrosion resistance of stainless steel

This is an electrochemical treatment performed using a специаль electrolyte solution and the PATONBRUSH.

What is required for CLEAN mode:
• electrolyte solution for passivation (mandatory) — ensures the chemical reaction that removes contaminants and restores the protective layer
• PATON BRUSH carbon fiber brush — developed by PATON engineers, resistant to high temperatures, chemically stable, and effective for cleaning hard-to-reach areas

How CLEAN mode works — step by step:

1. Pour a small amount of electrolyte into a plastic container.

2. Dip the PATON BRUSH into the liquid.

3. Clean the weld seam using circular motions with slight pressure.

4. Rinse off the остатки electrolyte with clean water.

5. Dry the treated area with a soft cloth.

As a result, you get a clean weld seam without the dark residue typically left after welding or pickling solutions.
