PATON autonomous cooling units – the best choice for welding

Autonomous cooling units are devices that provide forced cooling of welding torches when operating at high currents. With the help of a constantly circulating liquid, they quickly remove heat from the torches, providing the opportunity to weld metal for longer without negative consequences for the accessory, and increasing the convenience of the welder. Most often, autonomous cooling units are used when working with argon-arc (with welding current from 140A), semi-automatic (at currents from 300A) welding stations, as well as for cooling plasma torches during air-plasma cutting (at cutting currents from 100A).

The range of PATON welding equipment includes 2 models of autonomous cooling units of its own design and production - PATON Cooler-7 and PATON Cooler-8S, which provide circulation of coolant with high power - liquid supply to a height of up to 10 m, and a capacity of up to 6.5 liters /min. At the same time, these devices have significant differences that affect the features of their use: the presence of a flow sensor, the location of the connectors for connecting hoses, and the location of the filler neck.

PATON Cooler-7 – holds up to 7 liters of liquid. The filler neck is located on the front panel of the machine, and the connectors for connecting hoses are on the rear panel, which greatly increases the convenience of using this unit as a part of welding stations placed on special trolleys. Also, this unit does not have a built-in fluid flow sensor and is designed to work with welding machines equipped with such a sensor, for example, industrial semi-automatic machines PATON ProMIG of the W series.

PATON Cooler-8S - holds up to 8 liters of coolant, has a top-mounted filler neck and front-mounted connectors for connecting torch hoses and welding machine. Due to the built-in flow sensor that monitors the presence of liquid flow in the system, this unit protects the torch from overheating and failure, interrupting the welding process in the absence of coolant circulation. Such differences make the PATON Cooler-8S autonomous cooling unit more versatile and adapted to work with almost any welding machine.
