Tungsten alloy with lanthanum oxide has easy initial arc start, low tendency to burn through the metal, as well as stable arc and excellent arc re-ignition characteristics.
In the composition of the WL-20 electrode, the letter L indicates the content of lanthanum, the number 20 indicates 2.0% of lanthanum oxide, which, in turn, provides an increase in the maximum current. Tungsten electrodes with lanthanum oxide (WL) have a longer service life and less tungsten slag on the weld. This is certainly a significant advantage when welding with direct (direct polarity) or alternating current from improved welding current sources, various carbon steels and stainless steels.
Application: for welding all types of steels and alloys on direct and alternating current (AC/DC)
