Welding set PATON™ ProMIG-500-15-4-400V WK MAXwire

PATON ProMIG-500-15-4-400V WK MAXwire welding kit is a complete solution designed for use with the PATON ProMIG-500-15-4-400V W MAXwire welding machine.

The PATON ProMIG-500-15-4-400V W MAXwire digital inverter welding machine is designed for professional use and supports semi-automatic welding (MIG/MAG), manual metal arc welding (MMA), and argon arc welding (TIG) with direct current in shielding gases and gas mixtures. The ProMIG-500-15-4-400V W MAXwire features fully digital control, providing extensive functionality and precise adjustment of welding parameters. The increased duty cycle at a rated current of up to 500 A allows welding with electrodes ranging from 1.6 mm up to refractory 8 mm electrodes, as well as semi-automatic welding with solid wire from 1.2 to 1.6 mm in diameter. Flux-cored wire welding is also supported in FCAW-S and FCAW-G modes. For this purpose, the connection polarity must be changed according to the requirements of the wire being used. Thanks to its two-unit design, the power source can be easily separated from the wire feeder, significantly improving mobility and convenience when working in MMA and TIG modes.

The machine features synergic control in pulse mode, which automatically selects optimal welding parameters and ensures a stable arc and high weld quality.

The PATON ProMIG-500-15-4-400V W MAXwire is equipped with a reinforced metal 4-roll wire feeding mechanism with a more powerful sealed motor, allowing welding with flux-cored wire up to 2.8 mm in diameter. The universal KZ-2 EURO-type connector allows welding torches from a wide range of manufacturers to be connected. The wire feeder is equipped with two connectors for liquid-cooling hoses and a cable connector with power contacts. A heavy-duty wire spool holder allows the installation of spools weighing up to 15 kg.

The ProMIG-500-15-4-400V W MAXwire combines high power and productivity with relatively low weight and compact overall dimensions. Thanks to its LCD displays, the machine is easy and convenient to configure for a wide range of welding tasks.

The Cooler-7-400V standalone cooling unit is designed to provide efficient cooling of accessories such as welding torches and plasma torches when operating welding systems and air-plasma cutting machines. The standalone cooling unit is equipped with a coolant flow sensor that protects the torch from overheating and damage if coolant circulation stops. The Cooler-7-400V provides reliable torch cooling during high-current welding operations (over 300 A for MIG/MAG welding and over 140 A for TIG welding) and is an essential component of welding equipment operating under these conditions. The Cooler-7-400V has a coolant capacity of up to 7 liters and provides circulation within a closed-loop system with high pumping power, allowing coolant delivery to a height of up to 10 meters, and a flow rate of up to 6.5 L/min.
