ER308L wire is used for MIG/MAG welding of non-stabilized stainless steels, such as 301, 302, 304, 305, 308. ER308 / ER308L wire is used in mechanical engineering, petroleum, chemical, and food industries, in the pipelines construction, tanks, and boilers production, etc. It is used for welding surfaces made of corrosion-resistant steel of the above grades.

The wire is used for welding stainless steels with more than 18% chromium and more than 8% nickel, such as 08X18H10, 12X18H9T, 12X18H10T, 08X18H10T, 12X18H9TL, 08X18H12B, etc. The presence of silicon (Si) ensures a high quality of the weld and its high resistance to intergranular corrosion. The low carbon content reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion.
