Splash guard D19.8/D17.4/18 xFUME PRO

This is the so-called “spatter protector” / “splash protection” (nozzle insulator / splash guard) — an element of the front part of the MIG/MAG torch that protects the gas nozzle, diffuser and other consumable parts of the torch from sticking molten metal splashes during welding.

Officially indicated as “Nozzle Insulator / Spatter Protector” for the xFUME PRO 24 series.

Protection against metal splashes, slag, sparks — during welding, molten metal can splash and stick to the nozzle, diffuser, inserts, which reduces the service life of consumable parts and negatively affects the quality of the arc.

Easier maintenance — with a spatter protector, it is easier to clean the torch after work: less splashes stick, respectively, less need to clean/disassemble the front part. This reduces component wear and reduces replacement costs.

Maintaining gas flow and arc stability - when the nozzle and diffuser are clean and not blocked by adhering spatter, uniform shielding gas supply, stable arc formation and high-quality welding are ensured.
